I’m an experienced mechanical / aerospace engineer in vehicle dynamics and controls, autopilots, human interfaces, and Model-Based Design methodology, with additional skills in machine learning and data science. I have supported NASA and NAVAIR (US Naval Air Systems Command) in R&D of flight automation, avionic systems, modeling/simulation, system integration & testing. I’m well versed with OOP in C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink and have developed and integrated large software systems in a team environment. AFR entails having the aircraft self-perform conflict detection of traffic & hazards and provide trajectory resolution advisories to the flight crew, thus reducing reliance on centralized ground-based air traffic controllers.(ASTOR: Aircraft Simulation for Traffic Operations Research)• Modeled multiple airborne systems, including: avionics; airborne communication architecture;surveillance; guidance, navigation, & control (GNC); aircraft flight physics; and pilot interface.• Developed a Boeing 777 Auto Flight System (AFS) for ASTOR from scratch by extracting functional and performance information from flight manuals and numerous simulation test discussions with pilots.• Received SAIC Award of Excellence in Program Performance
