Co-founders of IHS would like to talk about their experience of 24 years in the field of Aeromodelling. Having won accolades at All India level, they now organize annual classes, workshops and summer camps in schools and colleges. IHS are associated with premier schools in Delhi NCR like The Shri Ram School, Sanskriti School, Birla Vidya Niketan, The Heritage School, Salwan Public School, Navy Children School, Bal Bharti Public School, Ramjas School, Mt Carmel School, Indian School, Ryan International School, DAV Public School, Sardar Patel, St Paul School, Parkriti School, Ramagya School, Pragyan School and a few engineering colleges. Co-founder of IHS, says they try to avoid technical jargon and keep the language simple. “If you make classroom learning fun and provide them with options, the children would be interested,” he says. “Flying is fun,” is how he sums up his opinion on why these little children find something like Aeromodelling so interesting. The key to making a good model, says Vinod Kumar co-founder of IHS, is in keeping it as close as possible to the blueprint provided with the apparatus kit. A well-made model will have correct placements of wings, vertical stabilizers, tail unit, correct dihedral angle and balancing of wings. Deepak Sharma says Aeromodelling is a first step for the students who are seeking their career in Aeronautical engineering, fighter pilot, commercial pilot or any other in the Aviation field. It brings a awareness of aviation in upcoming generation and confident that this will take Indian aero space to heights of glory”.
