CurrentAs VP of Delivery, Andrea Shields is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic approach for delivery, managing operations, and leading business development efforts within Alethix. She is dedicated to creating a sustainable mission-oriented culture that is focused on delivering the highest value product to the customer. Her teams have consistently produced quality products that exceed customer expectations and set a high standard for success. Andrea works with Directors, Program Managers, and Agile Teams to build a collaborative, inclusive, and transparent culture. Her passion is people and empowering them to reaching their full potential. This is apparent in her servant leadership approach that is focused on mentorship, coaching and education. This approach has fostered a positive and innovative workplace. With over fifteen years of experience in the planning and execution of diverse, high-level projects for the DoD, FEMA, and the USDA she is well versed in handling complex strategic programs. Andrea specializes in modernizing systems that have an impact on our most vulnerable members of society. This can be clearly recognized by her successful leadership in modernizing systems for the National Flood Insurance Program, National Interagency Fire Center, United States Air Force, Food and Nutrition Services, Emergency Management Response System 2.0, and a variety of others.Andrea is a PMI Certified-Project Manager Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification. She holds an Associates in Meteorology and a Bachelor’s Degree in IT Operations Management.
