I started my journey as an English major at York University, I took an intro to Linguistics course, just out of curiosity. That one course was all it took for me to decide to change all my plans and pursue a Linguistics degree. Language and the human brain, there isn’t anything more interesting :DMy previous experience working with The YMCA granted me the privilege of meeting exceptional little humans on the spectrum. These kids propelled my passion for this industry.After completing my degree, I enrolled in George Brown’s ABA Sciences and Autism program. This program was essential to my professional development. I gained invaluable skills, strategies and experience during my time there.In 2020, I have graduated from Durham College’s Communicative Disorders Assistant program and have been working in my community ever since.My passion is helping families in my community, my goals are to do so one child at a time.
