I was in charge of all training and certification requirements for Heavy Marine Helicopter squadron 465, as well as assisting the Marine Air Group 16 command staff with compliance of all federal, state and local requirements of hazardous materials and hazardous waste. I achieved a "superior" rating from OSHA and the EPA for records keeping and hazmat/hazwaste compliance inspection. Hazardous materials and waste supervisor for over 3-years. Department of Transportation certified to ship, package and receive hazardous materials through any mode of travel. Qualified hydraulic contamination inspector for Navy and Marine Corps aircraft assigned to the airbase. Trained and instructed all newly assigned personnel on laws and regulations governing hazardous materials and waste. Trained personnel on hydraulic component troubleshooting and structural repair while assigned to Heavy Marine Helicopter squadron 465. Quality Assurance representative, directly responsible to the Commanding Officer to ensure aircraft safety and mechanic training programs.
