Researching, creating, planning, and scheduling social content for clients across different social media platforms. My job is to make sure that our client’s message is received by their target audience on a daily basis.

Created monthly marketing plans based on product needs and current promotions, wrote and proofread copy for brochures, weekly emails, social media posts, blog content, and direct mail pieces, maintained traveler database lists and segmented new lists by market, managed SEO/SEM and Drupal website, oversaw promotional marketing materials and inventory, planned and executed traveler events on behalf of Mayflower Cruises & Tours.

Planned and executed various events throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago. Some tasks included hiring caterers, booking transportation and venues, consulting for different departments, hiring speakers or entertainers, and set up and break down of events. Managed the Theology on Tap Kickoff event which hosted over 400 young adults from the Chicagoland area.

Assisted three account executives with every aspect of the placement and processing of orders for TV Advertising Accounts. Responsibilities included acting as liaison between station personnel and media buyers, processing orders, revisions, and cancellations, resolving discrepancies and makegoods, adhering to deadlines, order entry, research market advertising, and general office duties such as answering phones and filing. Expected to maintain an effective working relationship with account executives, agency personnel, and station personnel.

Interned for radio station at both events and in office. Office work consisted of monitoring sales accounts, writing for the website, assisting DJs, research, answering listener phone calls, work with excel, examining contest entries, calling winners of contests, contributing to the diary of an intern blog, preparation for events. Event work consisted of good customer service, giving away promotional items, representing the station in a strong public relations fashion, answering listener questions, monitoring entries for contests, giving information about WXRT sponsors, and photography. Events attended with WXRT: Lollapalooza music festival, Pitchfork music festival, Pitchfork pre-party hosted by Heineken at Five Star Bar, Do Division, Green Music Festival, Two Brothers Brewery Hop Juice Festival, XRT day at Six Flags, Chicago Farmers Markets, WXRT Blues Fest Live Broadcast at Buddy Guy's, and more.

Responsible for a large group of 6-8 year old female campers. Trained to create fun and engaging activities to fill an entire camp day. Assisted in creating an environment that all campers were comfortable in and helped all campers make friends and participate in new activities. Also trained in customer service in order to properly engage in conversation with parents or legal guardians.

Brought fun and engaging musical acts to Loras College. Planned events from start to finish including creating a budget, meeting with faculty of the college to reserve a location, order food for the event, and provide security. Ran the largest concert event on campus called Springfest. Responsibilities for this event included booking a large scale act, plan an picnic and festival pre-concert, and to give tickets out to students. The event included inflatables (games, races, bounce houses), catered food from the school, free giveaways (t-shirts, beach balls, sunglasses, and sweat bands), and a performance by popular band Matt and Kim.
