Alexander is a composer for Film, TV,and Liveshows. Born in Luzern in 1971, Composer Alexander T. Faehndrich grew up in Switzerland and now enjoys a growing reputation in his country.Alexander is a guitar player (classical, rock, jazz). In his first years, he gaineda lot of experience on stage in various bands. His repertoire consists not onlyof hard-rock and jazz, but of funk, R&B, hip hop and pop music. Early on, Alexander was fascinated by the world of digital workstation,sample libraries and computer based sounddesign. Thus he started toproduce and remix dancefloor tracks for DJs and for his own live performanceas a „DJ-Enhancer“. As a classical guitarist, his passion for the baroque and romantic period led him to the works of great masters. He began to study many scores intensively and continues to do so to this day. Courses in composition, orchestrating, conducting and film scoring rounds off his training. His graduation as Audio Engineer enables him to combine his musical talents with technical knowledge– a skill set which is a must in today’s modern film scoring process. Alexander is founder of the TERTIUS studio and still runs it today. In the 2011/13 seasons Alexander was sound programmer of the 21st Symphony Orchestra for whom he produced all the additional synth tracks for the world premiere of „Pirates Of The Carribbeans“, “Gladiator“ „Star Trek“ live to projection shows: a great opportunity to work hand in hand with Academy Award Winner Michael Giacchino! The musical collaboration with conductor Ludwig Wicki also led to real friendship with one of today's most sought-after film music conductors. Alexander has scored and played for various swiss feature films and documentaries. His versatility and effortless ability to collaborate have quickly made him a reliable partner. He communicates in German, English and French, his studio is in the heart of Europe, and he can quickly go anywhere for briefing, spotting, presenting mock-ups and so on!
