• Principal Scientist in imec's Memory Device Design (MDD) Group. • In charge of the development of innovative selector elements for high density crosspoint resistive memory arrays.• 15 years of experience in Non-Volatile Emerging Memory technologies from both Device (modeling/simulation/reliability), System (Design/Architecture) and Integration point of view.• Expertise on PCRAM, OxRRAM, CBRAM, Carbon Nanotube CNT Nonvolatile Memory.Short bio:Andrea Fantini received the M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2003. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pavia, Italy in 2007, with a thesis entitled "Next generation Non Volatile Memories", focusing mainly on the Design and Architectural aspects of Phase-Change Memories, with Numonyx as industrial partner. After obtaining the PhD title, he held Fellow Researcher position within University of Pavia and in (2008-2010) with CEA-LETI, Grenoble, France, where he was mainly involved at Device level, on the characterization, technological improvement and reliability assessment of PCRAM and OxRRAM(ReRAM) Non-Volatile memory technologies. Author or coauthor of more than 90 paper in international journals and conferences (including 13 IEDM and 11 VLSI paper). Serves as reviewer of IEEE EDL, TED. Since March 2011 he has been with Memory Device Design Group (MDD) at IMEC, Leuven, Belgium.
