Support and promote innovative projects, programming, events, and relationship building to encourage entrepreneurship, economic development, and community engagement in the Watertown area in accordance with the mission and strategic plan of the Watertown Development Company (WDC).Marketing• Create and coordinate company marketing materials, including digital and print advertisements, social media content, and website content.• Plan and execute the annual WDC Investor Meeting.• Prepare applications and entrance materials for award opportunities offered by relevant professional organizations.• Support and promote WDC programs and initiatives, including the Attract & Enhance Program, Home Program, Intern Engagement Program, and Manufacturing Week.Downtown Development• Assist with property management duties, including maintenance and repair assignments, key control, and other related tasks.• Lead and promote the WDC Urban Renewal Fund.• Work collectively with businesses, WDC staff, city supported boards, and community groups to plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of downtown and community events, cultural programming, and creative experiences.Additional Duties• Cultivate and maintain positive and constructive relationships with civic leaders, including city and county government officials and staff.• Continue professional development, including pursuit of relevant certifications in economic development and related disciplines.
