About Affy Sheikh
As Head of Starlizard Integrity Services, I am responsible for leading our investigations into suspected match-fixing, helping sports governing bodies and law enforcement agencies to identify, investigate and prosecute match manipulations. I do this by spearheading a team of exceptional and talented experts who analyse the betting markets and the sporting performance of participants on the field of play, objectively identifying any anomalies and irregular activity indicative of match-fixing.The objective is to harness Starlizard's unique ability to accurately predict what should be happening in a sporting contest to achieve tangible results in the fight against match-fixing in sport. We work in partnership with sports governing bodies and law enforcement agencies to get them the best information possible. We use advanced data analytics as part of our intelligence-led approach to identify key areas of concern, assisting with disciplinary and criminal investigations, and we provide expert evidence that has been used in a number of successful prosecutions. I have a deep understanding of sports integrity, as well as a broad experience in intelligence and investigations. Before joining Starlizard in 2011, I served for over twelve years in UK law enforcement with the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), now the National Crime Agency (NCA), Her Majesty's Customs & Excise and the Metropolitan Police, including diplomatic service overseas as a UK Serious and Organised Crime Liaison Officer.Since 2016 I have been a member of the Risk and Security Management Forum (RSMF).
