I have two main hobbies that some times collide, empowering people by the use of technology and creating startups.I have done (and I still do) lots of Free Software/Open Source development and with more or less success created a few companies.I describe myself as a Hacker and as such I have tinker with many technical things like: distributed systems, cloud, embedded, video-games, desktop software... But also with many non-technical like coffee, cooking, photography...

CtoDatract Dec 2016 - Aug 2018At Datract we created SaaS capable of generating insights about companies by leveraging all the information available online by using Big Data and machine learning.Once we had the MVP with a few Terabytes of data ready, we realised that most of the cost we had came from creating scrapers, so we created a SaaS capable of navigating and extracting information from websites like humans do. -

CtoEyeos May 2016 - Dec 2016Barcelona, Barcelona, Es -
Technical LeadEyeos Mar 2015 - May 2016Barcelona, Barcelona, EsI worked together with the CTO and the rest of the team to pivot the company towards a SaaS solution called https://open365.io which was an alternative to office365.We managed to pivot the company in a record time by leveraging our internal technology and many different Open Source projects (Seafile, ejabberd, jitsi...).The deployment was quite interesting, we pioneered the use of containers and distributed the service across 3 different continents using more than one cloud provider. We had more than 200K registered users, 10K DAU and 20K MAU. -
Senior DeveloperEyeos Sep 2014 - Mar 2015Barcelona, Barcelona, EsWith the recent acquisition of eyeOS by Telefónica and the new leadership I re-joined the company as a Senior Developer. The project had a new set of requirements which included better scalability and reliability which ended up meaning the re-write of most of it using a microservice architecture.During this time I learned a lot about cloud systems, enterprise design patterns, agile... It was quite fun :) -

Co-Founder & DeveloperEyeos 2005 - May 2009Barcelona, Barcelona, EsBack in 2005 eyeOS was one of the first projects to envision the cloud like we know it today, having your data (files, contacts, emails...) available everywhere. A few years after it was founded the company also focused on virtualisation with the idea of providing an easy way of migrating legacy desktop apps to the cloud. My involvement in eyeOS during this time-frame can be summarised as:- We rewrote the project from scratch, creating a whole toolkit to create Web Applications with- Managed the "Core" Project which was published as Open Source.- Managed the development of some custom versions of the Core project.
