Working in manufacturing industry has taught me that running a profitable production line takes a great deal of efforts, passion, knowledge, discipline and above all, teamwork. As mundane as that may sound, to bring together a group of people with different perceptions, ideas, skills and experiences to work towards one common goal is no simple task. My work as an engineer has been an inspiration for me to one day be an exemplary team leader working with the top minds in the industry creating something innovative for our community. My journey is far from over but I’m up for the challenge anytime anywhere. Einstein said, “Once you stop learning, you start dying”. I’m well versed with ISO 9001, 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements. We practice most of the Lean 6σ manufacturing tools including Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Gemba, DMAIC, JIT, RCA, PDCA and 5S. Process optimization projects are my favorite. The term “scrap-reducing” has been so integral in my day to day routine at work. I got my BEng (Hons) in Chem. Eng. and MEng (Hons) in Polymer Processing from Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey plus GradCerts in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Engineering Management. I’m a simple straight forward person, I don’t beat around the bush, I like solving engineering problems, the more headache the better because once the problem is solved, that satisfaction I get to feel watching my idea takes shape and come to life is simply captivating. Being a tech savvy, my love for gadgets, hi-def motion pictures and virtual reality is becoming an obsession. When I'm not working, I usually wrestle with my kids on their bed or doing movie-marathon with mommy or playing video games with my online friends. I also do a healthy amount of wall staring once in a while reminiscing the ups and downs in my life and how grateful I am to have the things I have around me right now.
