About Arianna Fischer, M.Ed., Bcba
BCBA as of June 22nd 2020As a clinical supervisor and BCBA, I am in a position to guide those who are dedicating themselves to the challenging yet rewarding field of behavior therapy. Working with children fosters love, compassion, trust, and so much more. Learning from children and adapting to the way they think is how I identify what supports are benefical for each individual. I completed my masters degree through an applied behavior analysis graduate program with Arizona State University in August of 2019. At ASU I learned about the foundations of ABA as well as autism spectrum disorder and how to apply evidence based practices in the field. I first began working with young children as a teacher; in this role I strengthened my respect for children as initiators of their environment. The Magda Gerber philosophy has cultivated my strong interest in valuing the integrity of the children I work with. When provided the opportunity to include children with unique sensory needs and behaviors in my classroom, I pursued outside expertise and this is where I was exposed to ABA. Previously, at The University of California, Berkeley I designed my coursework within Interdisciplinary Studies Field where I earned my BA with an emphasis on Child Development. I have always enjoyed working with young children for all the things I learn from our interactions. Pursuing an undergraduate degree at Cal, gave me invaluable experiences; studying Public Health, Psychology, and Education as well as participating in clinical studies with 3-5 year olds in the Alison Gopnik Lab of Child Development. (Go Bears!)
