As a Civil Engineering Technician I was able to develop good problem-solving skills, good understanding of engineering drawings and good IT skills. In João Rodrigues Afonso & C.ª Lda I worked in structural engineering (buildings) and my main responsibilities were:• Assisting with initial site visits;• Assisting the Civil Engineering team to create engineering design projects with computer aided design (AutoCAD) software;• Preparing estimates of labour costs and the amount and type of materials needed;• Estimating timescales for the delivery of supplies, equipment and labour;• Negotiating with suppliers when buying resources.

Electro-Âncora is a specialist store in construction, electrical and plumbing materials and home appliances. I worked in Electro-Âncora as a part-time when I was a student and with this experience I developed good interpersonal and time management skills. Gained also excellent customer service experience and problem-solving skills working with the clients.

During this internship I was responsible for recording, monitoring and progressing all IT problems and service requests through to a timely and effective resolution providing an effective and timely first line IT support. Some of my main responsibilities were:• Escalation of any issues that are likely to impede the timely resolution of any IT problem or service request;• Manage the Helpdesk, adding and updating support calls, discriminating between incidents and problems, interpreting detailed diagnostic information;• Participate in the administration and maintenance of the service desk system data;• Manage the server and network infrastructure in order to install and set configuration options for equipment such as switches and routers and perform diagnostic and recovery routines on network equipment.

Developed the ability to be efficient by saving on time, products and energy and also my capacity of team work.
