Over the past 16 years, I have worked in various roles across public and private sector organisations in the field of pharmaceutical sciences in both developed and developing countries, including South Africa, Zambia, Kenya and England. With a strong focus of business strategy, regulatory affairs, project management & global health coupled with experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing has enabled me to embark on a fast track management path. I have risen to deputy director of the Barclays CARE partnership and led high performing teams at my various tenures. The current phase of my career has evolved to one of addressing the global concerns of market access to essential medicines and the strengthening of healthcare systems in developing countries. This role has allowed for the full exploitation of years of experience coupled with a renewed passion in this relevant, challenging and exciting area of the business. Having to navigate through the complexities of managing the Barclays CARE GSK partnership and programmatic activities in Zambia, has invigorated my passion for pharmaceutical innovation and my lead in economic empowerment of underserved communities, market access of essential medicinal products and health system strengthening of some of the poorest nations. I have a strong understanding of working in the developing world with its cultural diversities and social sensitivities.
