I love South Africa. I want my country to thrive. In order for that to happen, I have identified what I believe to be four of the key problem areas that must be adequately addressed so as to mitigate the substantial risk that they pose to the stability of the region as we head into an uncertain future. These are; sustainable energy production (and consumption), food and water security, a burgeoning youth population and the psychology of the people. My business, Double Phoenix Solutions, was founded with the aim to address the above mentioned issues by developing localized solutions that have the power to scale for greater impact over time. As a leader, my superpower stems from the range experiences that I have been fortunate to have in my short lifespan. I was born amongst the poorest of the poor and educated with richest of the rich. I have worked as a labourer, a salesman, a consultant, a manager and a small business owner amongst others, and my career trajectory has been anything but linear. I have therefore developed a style of thinking that can be described in a similar way - non-linear. I have a knack for finding connections between disparate pieces of information and identifying common principles amongst seemingly unrelated concepts. My goals on LinkedIn are to use the platform to meet and engage with people who will grow and challenge my thinking as well as to develop and foster partnerships that will grow my business.
