-Review new item creation request raised by to ensure adequate data on description, equipment details, tag numbers, part numbers, quantity requirements, classification and so on.-Duplicate verification of new item in ERP across Adnoc Refining and all the GCs-Select the appropriate base noun/modifier as per standard modifier dictionary and populate the templates-Create material catalogues and forward to inventory control section for procurement action-Develop Bill of materials, assess critically of spares and define optimum stock levels-Carry out FMSN analysis for spare and consumables and implement FMSN flag as required-Liaise with users, inventory control and warehouse personnel, and vendors/manufacturers for physical checks where possible and to collect drawings, specifications and other particulars related materials-Physically inspects new projects spares and ensures that the supplied items are as per the specifications and updates buying description with available data on the material-Review existing materials inventory to improve interchangeability, generalization and data standardization-Review of SPIR items with other SPIRS in the same project and across other projects in progress-Recommend quantities to be ordered and send SPIR for users' concurrence. Commitment of SPIR after receiving confirmation from end user -Lead and coordinates the development of spare part strategy on sites and introduces necessary monitoring techniques for spare part consumption analysis.-Explore and evaluates new sources of supply-Participate in developing alternative specification and alternative sources to enhance catalogue with acceptable materials specification and sources -Participate in technical evaluation of bids and ensure that the bids are fully complied with ADNOC Refining requirements-Assists and coordinates in resolving all matters pertains to Material Discrepancy Reports (MDR) and follows up till close out

 Ensure that procurements are carried out in-line with TAKREER quality and specification requirements Participate in Vendor Assessment together with Vendor Management Department Review Purchase Requisition(PR)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) received from Purchasing Department, liaise with the PR originator/User Division to resolve anomalies noted in the PR and assign inspection/testing requirements to the RFQ Participate in technical evaluation of bids and ensure that the bids are fully complied with TAKREER QA requirements Selection of most economical and technically sound Third Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) in accordance with the Inspection/Testing requirements assigned to the PO and issue Inspection Authorization to TPIA Review Scope of Works pertaining to Minor projects received from User Division and assign suitable TPIA in order to carry out and approve inspections/testing at different stages of inspections  Review Fabrication drawings of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, Air coolers, Valves & Steam traps, Piping etc. submitted by the Supplier/Contractor together with the TPIA and give comments/approval Review Inspection & Test Plan(ITP) and Test Procedures submitted by the Supplier/Contractor and give comments/approval Attend inspections at Manufacturing facility as/when required such as Visual & Dimensional, Hydro test, Functional test, Factory Acceptance Test(FAT), Analysis of Chemicals etc. Verifies and ensures that all Concession Requests and Non Conformity Reports are properly processed Review Manufacturing Data Book(MDB) submitted by the Supplier/Contractor Assists and coordinates in resolving all matters pertains to Material Discrepancy Reports (MDR) relevant to MDB/Inspection Certificates and follows up till close out Participate in Standardization of Inspection Template in accordance with latest edition of Codes & Standards
