Manage Operations for NYC-Based Online Men's Neck Wear Retailer/Wholesaler/Manufacturer.

I took a part-time position operating a vegan kitchen in Manhattan upon first arriving in NYC. I did not want a job in food but I took it as an extra source of income for a few months so that I would have less free time to spend money and more of it when I did have free time. This also acted as a preventative measure against running out of money completely in a landscape of such a high cost of living.

Prepare Full-Truckload Shipments, Manage Inventory/Drivers/Incoming/Outgoing Shipments

We took dough and rendered shapes for a freezing process. We then packed shaped frozen dough into packages. Other tasks involving raw dough products coming off of conveyor belts ensued as well. I attempted to replace myself in the position before leaving, as I was only working part-time while attempting to run an independent rental company.

Originally, 6 people were incorporated to complete a promotional project which involved assembling and packing several thousand packages containing several items arranged specifically over a 4 week period. I encouraged the project coordinator that the job would take 2 people 2 weeks to complete. We proceeded thus and the project was completed in 9 days.

I filed documents, sorted mail, classified mail, mailed documents, processed checks, processed mail and entered copious amounts of data.

Shipping/Receiving/Distribution knowledge and experience during the busiest time of the year and during which time a monumental power shift took place in the output of the company.

Prepared individual product shipments as well as order fulfillment and online sales.

Coordinated with shipping companies.

Cook Pizza

I was hired on the spot by the father of the current owner operators, who died of a heart attack after doing so without telling his sons. When I arrived to start work the following Monday, no one was aware of my purpose, or to what I was referring. However, they believed I was being genuine and I proceeded to be employed. I delivered food, washed dishes and prepared appetizers.

I began as a prep cook, acquiring the position through and with a friend of mine, still and at the time. I learned nearly the entire operation, save some upper management tasks. I eventually became a line cook, training emerging prep cooks/dishwashers & lending a hand to the delivery driver.

I first began helping make copies and taking calls in the main office of the GSU Physics Dept. I then went on to help teachers in the classrooms with students who were having trouble grasping elementary physics. I then moved on further to helping teacher's with grading exams.

Delivered pizza by car until arriving for a shift to find the restaurant out of business, indicating my position had been terminated.

Stocking shelves from 9 PM to 7 AM between primary semesters while achieving my degree.

Everyone should work at McDonald's at least once. I did.

During a period near what has been inputted here, I helped some friends of my grandparents to run the UPS retail outlet which they managed.

My father taught me how to pour concrete for floors, minor slabs, footings, walls, driveways, and other major projects. Alongside my father, I assisted in the construction of several garages, a house & a pole barn. My father taught me how to drive using a manual transmission, the safe operation of certain smaller heavy equipment, such as compactors, a bob-cat, chainsaw, and other power tools. My father allowed me to join him in the pick-up and transfer of heavy duty equipment from northern Michigan to Billings, Montana. He encouraged and taught me to skate and play Hockey for 9 years. He taught me to hunt and was with me when I successfully stalked and shot my first buck. He taught me also how to operate a boat, a snowmobile, to ride a bike, and to shoot, a rifle & a bow.
