Role required representing students on a variety of University Committees, such as the Board of Governors and the University Ethics Committee. Also, line managing General Manager, taking part in disciplinary procedures and staff recruitment.AchievementsMiddlesex University Students’ Union developed significantly during my term of office. Thanks to the team efforts under my leadership we managed to complete several major projects including:• created new strategic plan addressing students’ needs and negotiated significant increase in funding for the academic year 2010-2011,• completed a two year long process of approving new constitution in line with charity law,• run successful initiatives improving students’ experience at the university, including the environmental campaign leading to introducing recycling bins at university campuses

Any job can help us grow as long as we know how to get the best out of it. I started my professional career as one of many baristas who need money to pay rent while studying. At the time I hated being tired, making coffee for picky customers, having little time to sleep when working at 6am but kept going as I didn't want to ask my parents for money. I started working as a barista and after a month I asked for a promotion to be a supervisor to align with my Management studies. My regional manager was so shocked that I got it. I was only 19.It was a first role that taught me systemic work, leadership, teamwork, working under pressure, customer service and the general ability to survive in a professional environment. I know some may say that Starbucks is just a café and it's not the same as "real jobs". Mention it when we meet and you will find out why I don't agree and why anyone who wants to work with me shows any hospitality role on their CV they have my attention.
