    Alberto Gago was in charge of developing and implementing the EU Health Policy Platform project. The EU Health Policy PlatformThe EU Health Policy Platform (https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/hpf/) is a new instrument built around a web-application to improve the communication of DG SANTE with its health stakeholders (NGOs, associations, health providers and industry) and to increase the efficiency of its Expert Groups with representatives from the Member States and stakeholder organisations. It was launched in April 2016.The Platform has three components: • an online platform to promote exchange and collaboration between networks with members from EU-Member States and stakeholder organisations, and also from other international organisations such as the WHO. Nine months after the launch of the instrument in April 2016, the Platform hosts almost 40 networks with more than 900 registered users.• regular meetings and a high-level conference every two years, and • a yearly EU Health Award for the best initiative on a health issue (Ebola in 2015; AMR in 2016). The concept is implemented in cycles of 6 months: in the meetings, stakeholders choose health topics on which to draft collaboratively a joint statement. The collaborative drafting occurs on the Web Platform. On the next meeting, six months later, they present their work, gather last contributions and present it to the European Commission. In this meeting, they choose the new topics for the next six months. The Web Platform also includes a space for collaborative work of Expert and Stakeholder groups of DG SANTE. This allows cross-fertilisation of work in the different policy areas. The project is steered by a Steering Committee that involves one representative from each unit of health directorates in DG SANTE.

    Coordination and management of the prize team in collaboration with the 28 Representations of the European Commission in the Member States, SANCO 04 and under the supervision of an official-responsible SANCO C2.Together with the responsibilities of coordination, leadership and event organization, internal evaluations and contractual management of external promotion were carried out, under the supervision of a team leader, public servant.Promotion: It was carried out in the 28 Member States with the collaboration of the EC Representations and the DG SANCO communication unit and via the internal websites of the EC. Direct contact with journalists was established as well as with health ministry's representatives, WHO communications representatives and other stakeholders (i.e. NGOs, think tanks, press associations, schools of journalism). Also there was an extensive use of project website, Twitter, Facebook and other social media.National Juries: Coordination of the set-up of the 28 national juries in the collaboration with the Representations. Coordination of administrative tasks of formatting articles, drafting invitations and managing information and conclusions of the national juries.EU Jury: setting-up of the EU Jury, providing documents, adapting and organizing conclusions, drafting reports and establishing direct contact with hierarchy. Promotional actions of finalists carried out.Award ceremony: Organization of the award ceremony with the presence of the Commissioner for Health and Director General, in collaboration with 04 and SCIC. There were +/- 70 people invited together with a visit to the European Parliament. Coordination of products produced for the ceremony (i.e. trophies, booklet of the 2013 edition, posters, further promotion of finalists.). Drafting of speeches, notes, reports and presentations for the hierarchy
