Heads CMC Marine's business development in Far East and Americas

As Quality Assurance manager, Alessandro is responsible for:- Quality control on all building activities (both in-sourced and subcontracted);- Coordinating the product improvement process with Engineering and Production departments; - Defining metrics and monitoring suppliers’ performance and quality;- Supporting the Purchasing dept. in the selection and negotiation of new suppliers;- Defining metrics and monitor the Client’s satisfaction throughout the build process.Alessandro has developed the current Quality Assurance System, tailored to the peculiar industrial set-up, where 100% of production activities is outsourced to a network of approx 500 suppliers and spread across 18 shipyards in Italy.As an Aftersales manager, Alessandro is responsible for:- Managing Benetti’s worldwide service management network in Americas (USA, Brasil, Dominican Republic), UAE (Dubai), China (HK);- Delivering technical assistance to the fleet during the warranty period (include urgent repairs, major shipyard works, spare parts);- Identifying, negotiating and maintaining a network of suppliers;- Planning and executing all production activities carried out in the Benetti shipyards during the warranty period;- Defining metrics and monitoring quality of service delivered and Clients satisfaction;- Ensuring warranty information are fed back to the Product Improvement process;- Constantly maintaining relationships with Owners’ representatives (Captain, Surveyors, Chief Engineers);

Has implemented substantial process re-engineering actions in the technical and production areas and achieving efficiency improvements.He has set-up and maintained the Company's overall production plan, to integrate all materials and design requirements and workforce availability and drive workers assignment and organization development.He also developed a new system for job costing, enabling accurate tracking of production hours spent and in-depth analysis of productivity parameters and project profitability.He has introduced 3D modelling and CNC cutting techniques in the design process, especially applied to the interiors assembly process, with significant impacts on both quality and productivity.Alongside his main role, Alessandro has held additional responsibilities, including:- Coordinator of the technical office, managing a team of 6 designers and handling directly all Classification and Certification activities;- Responsible for materials logistic, he managed the warehouse (8 people, 12 store locations), which he has reorganized, through the definition of new stock-keeping and replenishment procedure, review of stock levels, streamlining of planning and purchasing procedures, bringing significant improvements in the availability of critical materials and reduction of orders issued.- IT manager, managing the selection, purchasing and development of both the ERP system (Microsoft Navision) and the 3D modelling software (ProEngineer).

As manager in the CRM practice, has led several business processes re-engineering and financial planning projects for clients of both Manufacturing and Services industries.Main responsibilities included:- Analysis of Client business needs and requirements;- Organization, start-up and management of the project (project planning, work team set up, effort estimation, control report design);- Establish and maintain relationships with Client;- Project’s budget and profitability (definition of budget, review of weekly reporting, analysis of variances);- Management of human resources (recruiting, performance review, training on the job).Selected project experiences include:IvecoDesigns, develops and manages the operation of a complex IT solution for the “Spare parts” business unit, supporting Order planning e Outbound Logistics for all European dealerships.PfizerDefinition and implementation of a multi-channel marketing strategy, including the development of the custom IT systems.Obiettivo Lavoro Defines the Industrial Plan, which includes a diversification strategy, a new organisation model (sales force and headquarters), a cost-cutting plan and the development of the complete business plan.IlSole24OreStart-up of a spin-off Company to provide online services to SME.He developed the business plan, coordinated the design and development of the software platform, set-up and started the execution of the commercial strategy, managed negotiations with clients and industrial partners.

During his military service, Alessandro was employed as an officer at the Navy General Staff, Public Relations Office, Rome, where he developed and managed promotional activities (advertisement campaigns, exhibitions and public events).
