Austin Galm, Cfa Email and Phone Number
I am an experienced finance professional with a track record of producing quantitative and qualitative analysis to enhance strategic decision making. My work thus far has been primarily focused on providing the qualitative context to quantitative tools, often serving as a liaison between quantitative teams and decision makers. Going forward, I endeavor to not only be a translator but an originator--someone who can identify quantitative solutions, engineer them quickly, and manage them effectively. To that end, I have recently enrolled in the University of Chicago's Masters of Science in Financial Mathematics program to formalize my training in quantitative finance. In my studies at University of Chicago, I will be undertaking a rigorous curriculum focused on financial theory and mathematics, and bridging the gap between those two fields with several applied computer programming projects. It is my firm belief that this course of study will enhance my Finance and Economics background to date by teaching me to develop tools that work beyond contrived, deterministic scenarios and drive highly-informed decision making in the real world.I am passionate about my field, always excited to discuss related ideas, and welcome any opportunities to connect. Feel free to send me a message!
