I am working as a software developer in the innovation lab at Roche Diagnostics (RIS), bringing to life backends of various pilots. It is a very dynamic environment, there are always new -- and tons of legacy -- technologies to consider, implement; architectures to explore and scalability bottlenecks to solve. I keep learning from experienced developers to balance being effective, lightweight, extensible and scalable in our projects. Turns out, its not trivial to have good MVP's and MMP's.In parallel to work, I study Electrical Engineering. I want to have deeper understanding of the abstraction levels at which I work. My areas of interest are IoT security and machine vision.What started as a side project - where we taught acrobatics and yoga classes a couple of times a week - has turned into a fun small entrepreneurial venture. At _Urban Acro_ we currently have a team of teachers and we strive to open doors for them, automate tedious administrative work and allow them to share their passions.It has been a long and fun journey from my studies of economics and business in Chile to where I am now, and I keep relearning to focus my energies in projects that generate real value...
