As the Director of Consulting, my responsibilities include but are not limited to running regular case interview workshops, leading a client acquisition team, overseeing all consulting projects with clients, planning committee-wide and club-wide social events, and consistently ideating with fellow Board members about how to help the organization meet its goals and uphold its vision. In the past, I have worked with three clients along my IBB teammates, for which my primary roles and responsibilities included:1. Re-evaluating a client's accounting systems and helping them transfer their accounting operations to a more efficient software. This allowed the client to more easily conduct data analysis on their financials. 2. Formulating effective strategies and creating long-term systems in order to increase corporate funding for a client. 3. Helping to boost profitability through the use of data analysis from market research surveys and through leveraging various marketing strategies. In addition to being an active member of the consulting committee, I have also been involved with the Finance Committee, during which I learned investing strategies, accounting principles, valuation methodologies, and how to analyze financial ratios and financial markets.

- Cleared a competitive selection process and successfully completed an intensive, 8-week onboarding process with 30+ hour weekly commitment on average, which involved helping to fundraise 10k+ USD, pitching startup ideas, organizing events with top VC professionals, and more. - Served on the Venture Capital committee and the Applicant Committee for BruinTank, a Shark Tank inspired event at UCLA.

-Developed a GenZ-focused partnership strategy between UCLA and the organization delivering the world’s largest sporting event, supported with specific marketing timelines and survey insights, presented in a ~40 page client deck to senior directors-Devised a detailed market entry strategy for a golf swing analyzer startup looking to enter the baseball market, including competitive landscape analysis, market sizing, social media recommendations, and an outline of a demo program. -Engaged in an 8-week training program, culminating in a case study on a pharmaceutical company launching an acne product, for which I conducted pricing analysis and performed data analysis on identifying the specific target demographic.

This is a part-time job that I had at UCLA. I assisted faculty in the social sciences department with tech-related issues, including helping to set up new computers, troubleshooting word processor issues, helping to resolve malfunctioning keyboards, and more.

TruBoard Partners is an independent tech-focused asset manager and monitoring solutions provider.During my internship, I was responsible for researching the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) segment within the renewable energy sector in India, including understanding the current state and the future outlook of the segment, conducting state-wise comparisons of the segment, assessing profitability of different investments across different states, and more. Specifically, in order to do this, I:-Read various reports and led calls with top professionals at market research agencies and renewable energy developers to gain insights into the industry’s technology trends, different business models, and future outlook based on regulatory restrictions across different states.-Consolidated research and findings into a 30-page PowerPoint presentation that I presented to executives of the company.

-Utilized Excel to compare and contrast ESG exchange-traded funds against metrics like the risk-return efficiency, the sharpe ratio, volatility, max drawdown, absolute returns and annualized returns in order to determine the best performing ESG related ETFs. -Evaluated underlying asset classes within ESG investing (e.g. carbon credits and green bonds) and analyzed the effectiveness of various ESG investing strategies like negative/exclusionary screening, impact investing and norms-based screening.

Levitate Tutoring is a tutoring business that I co-founded along with a friend from High School. Levitate HK connects young students in need of affordable tutoring with tutors who are High Schoolers. My business partner and I collaboratively ideated, constructed accounting spreadsheets, analyzed costs & benefits, advertised and marketed, and ran daily operations. We made a profit of approximately 6,600 HKD (approx. 850 USD), and we sold our business for 9,000 HKD (approx. 1,160 USD) in May 2021.

Hired as a Teaching Assistant for a Math and Science summer program for 7th graders. Helped out with an engineering design challenge of building mini bridges and taught concepts like the strength-weight ratio and the design thinking cycle. Prepared lesson materials for the teacher and effectively managed classroom behavior.

2019 (3 weeks, on-site):- Youngest in the office and experienced the corporate world for the first time. - For my assignment for a product relaunch on Walmart, I created price waterfalls, conducted analysis of customer reviews, undertook price forecasting, produced marketing content, and did a business-style presentation of the strategy in front of company heads for which I received positive feedback. - Performed analysis of shipment data to determine if product delivery targets were being met. - Visited factory and engineering lab in southern China to gain an understanding of the manufacturing side of the business. 2020 (2 weeks, online):- Invited back for internship; unfortunately, the virtual setting due to COVID-19 limited diversity of assignments.- Prepared a marketing presentation targeted at the distributors of the firm's appliances. - Crowd-sourced a name for a new product. Overall, the internships spurred interest in studying economics, and also inspired me to start my own business.
