I am one of those lucky people who had enough courage to follow their dream and listen to their heart. After graduating from Faculty of Electronics and IT at Warsaw University of Technology I decided to choose a very different path than the rest of my colleagues and I became a professional mariner.I was a crewmember of the oldest fully rigged ship in the world Sørlandet during her circumnavigation. I started as a deckhand and I left the ship as a Chief Officer. After 8 years of sailing I decided I had seen enough sunsets and sunrises and that sail training over 300 of young students was a satisfactory number. Years at sea have taught me attention to detail, hard work and excellent organizational skills. I can keep my head cool and bring my A-game in the most stressful situations. I value team work and good relationships with my colleagues. I believe in the well-functioning work routines but I also like keeping an eye for a fresh wind of change. Combining my seafaring experience with a detailed knowledge of navigation, GMDSS, marine safety and security and last but not least - female perspective, I hope to make a difference for the maritime industry pursuing my career ashore.
