As a Mandela Washington Fellow and an OKP Scholar, I have a strong passion for promoting gender equality, youth empowerment, and social inclusion. I hold a Master’s degree in Management of Development from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, where I specialized in Gender, Social Inclusion and Youth Empowerment. I also have a Diploma in Civic Leadership from Rutgers University and a BA in Mass Communication from University of Makeni.For two years, I worked as a Communications and Fundraising Officer at Rainbo Initiative Sierra Leone, a leading organization that provides free medical, psychosocial, and legal services to survivors of sexual and gender-based violence. In this role, I developed and implemented strategic communication plans, conducted media engagements, and provided training and counselling to staff and beneficiaries. I also contributed to the advocacy and lobbying efforts of the organization, influencing key stakeholders and policy makers to address the root causes and consequences of SGBV. I have excellent communication, presentation, and report writing skills, as well as proficiency in data collection and analysis. I am looking for a role that combines my interests and skills in development, communications, health, and gender issues, and that enables me to make a positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable communities.
