VSO supporter groups are groups of returned volunteers and VSO supporters in local communities across the UK who come together to support the work of VSO and stay involved in international development issues. Worked as a English language teacher at a range of language schools, Academies and summer programmes as a adult and child second language teacher.

- Program leader and founder -Created a DEFRA accredited rural leadership award which taught 40 children per programme year from the local area (aged 8-18), and inner city children on residential trips, rural skills.-4 sessions a week for the children during the school holidays and on weekends throughout the year.-Local primary schools would also come to the centre (which included a 3 acre vegetable plot managed by the rural leaders) for day visits.-Achieved the funding, accreditation and managed the centre for 3 years.-Managed a number of staff who worked alongside me.

- Team leader for a livelihoods development programme in rural communities in the Eastern Cape.- Was responsible for 15 volunteers within my communities and oversaw the planning, organisation and support for the programme.- Ran and organised a number of successful careers events and managed to obtain funding for these.- Liaised and established working relationship with various government bodies, NGOs and community based groups for both funding of the programme and as key stakeholders.

-Created and ran the Leaders in Training program for the camp in the first year it was introduced.-Twenty 16-18 years old finished the program. (The program was a one month residential program, running for three months).-The aim was to create the camp leaders of tomorrow by teaching the hard and soft skills necessary to work in an outdoor education environment. -Was responsible for all teaching and management of the students, and my assistant directors, apart from necessary outside instructors to teach hard skills such as First aid, Life guarding, rock climbing certification etc.- Worked in an advisory role after the summer to help introduce the program into other YMCA camps both in Hawaii and on the U.S. mainland.

-Managed a long standing counselor training (CIT) program for 17-18 year old's which was unique for YMCA’s in the U.S.A.- Established a LIT course for 15-16 year old's.- Delivered courses for 30+ students for 8 weeks.-Ran and developed the course alongside a series of co-directors.-The aim was to create the camp leaders of tomorrow by teaching the hard and soft skills necessary to work in an outdoor education environment. -Was responsible for all teaching and management of the students, apart from necessary outside instructors to teach hard skills such as First aid, Life guarding, rock climbing certification etc.- Returned the following year for 3 weeks in an advisory role.
