Profile bio

About Avery-Grace B.

I am a highly skilled and extremely independent woman using a multi-faceted approach to start my own business. I began working in the criminal justice field my last year of high school investigating unresolved U.S. national homicide and missing persons cases for a non-profit based in Colorado. I completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Leadership Studies in three years by taking up to 24 course credits a semester. During that time I volunteered for the Colorado Human Extractions and Remains Team training for deployment during a mass casualty event by assisting with death scene investigations and conducting autopsies. I worked as a tutor, data analyst, and victim services intern during that time as well. When the COVID-19 pandemic devastated the world I immediately took a job as the primary overnight Emergency Shelter Services coordinator for the City and County of Denver at Denver's only pop-up COVID_19 positive homeless shelter in 2020. While working overnight I finished my last semester of my undergraduate degree during the days. I went on to a short-term contract working as a Criminal Investigator for the State of Colorado and continuing working in a shelter environment as a Certified Victim Advocate in 2021 and 2022. I started taking graduate courses in Social Justice and Human Rights while starting to grow my own business by the end of 2022. Now, in 2024 I am working as an independent contractor using my extensive knowledge, certifications, and high-level research skills to assist others in the fields of investigations, human and civil rights, legal advocacy, curriculum development, and ghostwriting. I am continuing to define and grow my business purpose and goals which incorporates a trauma-informed and human rights centered approach with artistic expression and storytelling. I plan to release my first book by the end of 2024.

Listed skills include Leadership, Nonprofit Organizations, Public Speaking, Social Services, and 9 others.
