I am responsible for the procurement and distribution of $7M of sleep products to retail partners across the United States and Canada for a division of Ottobock SE & Co. KGAA. I manage external relationships with third party logistic partners, material vendors and manufacturing partners to insure the steady flow of Technogel finished goods. I create and maintain appropriate inventory levels for manufacturing components and finished goods. I work with Technogel Sales Team and supervise internal staff to guarantee customer satisfaction with continuous attention to improving efficiency and reducing costs and act as chief reference point between all procurement activities and Technogel Accounting Department. • Perform all purchasing functions for $3M of goods from domestic and international suppliers taking into account production lead time, time in transit, volume discounts and shipping costs. • Consistently meet company goal of 8% or less in shipping costs of total sales • Handle product launch supply chain functions while working closely with sales team to insure appropriate raw materials for production and stocking levels for customers. • Decreased mattress shipping damages from 10% to 3% through improvement of pallet design, packaging and identification of shipping partners who specialize in oversized shipping. Design improvement led to 42% cost reduction of pallet cost. • Developed nationwide in-home delivery program with a Final Mile partner for drop ship requests from retailers and for warranty replacements. This included a joint in-home delivery program of our mattresses with Rize adjustable bases to ease delivery concerns for retail partners, resulting in increased sales and the sharing of shipping costs for both companies. • Reduced small package shipping costs for pillows by 65% by reducing minimum order quantity
