Provided management support to all project execution activities for a portfolio of 5 projects totaling about U$ 12MM. Selected new engineers to fill open positions in the project department team. Implemented estimating routines to support EPC proposals. Developed project execution strategies to achieve lower cost bids in erection contracts saving approximately R$ 500M. - Managed the local scope for the installation of a new large Air Separation Unit to replace the Air Products old asset at Mogi das Cruzes-SP. The local scope included the civil, mechanical and electrical construction services. The new plant achieved a major production increase and significant power efficiency improvement.- Turn-key installation of a purification and distribution system for ultra-pure gases in the first semiconductor plant in Brazil. Responsibilities included project management of detailed design, purchasing and erection. The detailed design, by a local firm, required extensive knowledge transfer from the US office of clean room and ultra-pure fabrication. The project met customer specifications and auditors testing.- Project management and construction supervision responsibility for a number of on-site plants; starting with CAPEX estimating, hiring detailed engineering and construction services, purchasing equipment, qualification of local suppliers according to global APCI procedures and importation of the plants. Participated in HAZOP discussions in Allentown PA. The on-site plants were air separation plants for N2 and O2, both cryogenic and non-cryogenic, with capacities ranging from 50 ton/day to 200 ton/day and H2 reformer generators with capacities up to 200 Nm3/h. Projects met very challenging operations and customer deadlines.

- Responsibilities included the basic design of heat exchangers, tanks and pressure vessels according to TEMA and ASME B&PV Code, Sections III and VIII. Writing technical specifications with design, manufacturing, materials and test requirements for pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels and piping systems according to nuclear industry requirements and MIL Standards. In the industrial area wrote technical specifications and made technical analyses of proposals for ALCOA and Petrobras and inspected ventilation systems for city tunnels.
