Current836M is an innovative foundation that nurtures new contemporary art by providing exhibition opportunities and resources for emerging and established artists. In 2015, arranged for the official donation of Jean Michel Othoniel’s sculpture La Rose des Vents to the City of San Francisco. The inaugural event took place on September 15, 2022.Since 2021, 836M has been establishing a presence in Europe through partnerships that highlight diversity, social inclusion, and cross-cultural dialogue. Currently serves as an artist lab that is exploring and testing out creative possibilities within Paris. 836M EU partners with emerging artists/art groups and expands on their public exposure, creating and sponsoring events, developing resources, etc. Some partnerships in Paris:POUSH: an artist residence and incubator in Greater Paris. POUSH arranges exhibitions for its artist residents and provides them with dedicated services to further their artistic ambitions.SIRA: an artist residence, gallery, and photo studio based in Asnieres-Sur-Seine. Focus on inclusion, music, and creativity.LE BAL: an art lab dedicated to exploring the role of images (in photography, video, film, and the new media) in contemporary society. Plays a key role in image education and visual literacies research.BOULEVARD 13: an open-air museum located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. On view are frescoes created by renowned international artists. Offers support and, needless to say, a place of expression for the artists.IN THE BANLIEUES - VILLA ALBERTINEEncourages the renewal of urban art and social action practices in the outskirts of cities. The program includes an international exhibition, cultural exchange, and artistic productions. Reaffirms the central role of culture in the development of our cities to better meet community needs and combat social inequities.
