• Taught intensive lower-division undergraduate writing courses and led discussion sections for a lower and upper-division undergraduate courses in Anthropology.• Developed unique lesson plans, including lectures, activities and assignments for the intensive writing courses.• Edited and graded student term papers and examinations.

• Developed a new data management system for the inventory of physical and digital assets collected during archaeological excavation and research. • Collaborated with visualization specialists to create new methods to virtually explore archaeological sites using a combination of three-dimensional technologies.

While earning a PhD from the University of California, I participated in and oversaw several multi-disciplinary research projects. In those projects, I worked with cross-functional teams to develop and execute research plans that included both qualitative and quantitative research components. The overall focus of the research was to better understand the role of brands as a way to facilitate long-distance trade and interaction through non-verbal communication. A selection of the publications and conference proceedings that were a result of those projects can be found in the publications section.One notable project included the development of a new research tool called ArchaeoSTOR that was used for data collection and processing. I led the development of ArchaeoSTOR from the initial development phase through alpha-testing. After the alpha-testing I recruited a new set of developers and supervised their work to refine ArchaeoSTOR for wider adoption.
