  • Wild Thing Critter Bus
Director Of Operations And Customer Success
Wild Thing Critter Bus Sep 2023 - Present
    Phoenix, Arizona, United States
After successfully navigating our sister company, Project Exploration, out of the pandemic, I was asked to take over operations at Wild Thing Critter Bus, a startup founded in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The challenge of overcoming sales obstacles and low retention rates was riveting. Accepting the challenge, I developed and executed the launch of new product offerings that expanded our market reach and yielded an impressive 100% sales increase. I devised a customer success roadmap, writing booking contracts, and creating program timelines that transformed the organization workflow and boosted client satisfaction.
  • Fasturtle Digital
    Digital Marketing Associate
    Fasturtle Digital Sep 2020 - Jul 2021
    Phoenix, Arizona, United States
Crafting captivating stories designed to draw the attention and business of potential customers appealed to my creative side. On the other side, I built trusted client relationships through monthly business reviews via Zoom. During these meetings I would speak with business owners and key stakeholders, gaining an understanding of their specific business models and reviewing KPIs and digital marketing strategies developed to help them meet their goals and objectives. Through this experience I learned a variety of businesses in technology and software development, customer service, home renovation, and legal services. Creating innovative digital marketing strategies for businesses in those industries taught me how to conduct efficient meetings that help me understand the customer’s needs.

Recognizing the need to streamline client onboarding, I led the development of a user-centric client website that decreased employee workload and amplified customer satisfaction rates. Managing our social media and email marketing initiatives, I devised innovative digital marketing strategies that led to an impressive sales increase and expanded our client base. One of my proudest achievements was providing UI suggestions to Disney’s web design team that were implemented during the launch of their travel planner site, “PlanEars”.

  • Institute For Marine Mammal Studies Inc
    Marine Mammal Trainer
Institute For Marine Mammal Studies Inc Jun 2015 - Jul 2016
    Gulfport, Mississippi, United States
Having dolphins, sea lions, and birds as coworkers was an unforgettable experience! Every day presented new challenges and exciting accomplishments. My coworkers consisted of 4 dolphins, 6 sea lions, and 4 birds, along with a handful of humans as well. I cultivated trusted bonds through positive reinforcement and provided mental and physical stimulation to enhance the overall health and well-being of the animals. I meticulously developed step-by-step training procedures, teaching animals new behaviors to keep them stimulated and engaged. I facilitated interactive programs and presentations to groups of 100+, educating visitors about marine life, conservation efforts, and threats to the animals’ survival while simultaneously training and working with one of our resident animals. I worked closely with the interns, training them in daily cleaning practices and meal preparation. I also had the unique opportunity to assist in bi-weekly dolphin phlebotomy procedures, and managed water quality testing and maintenance.
  • Dolphin Research Center
    Marine Mammal Training Intern
Dolphin Research Center Jan 2015 - May 2015
    Marathon, Florida, United States
Arguably the best animal facility in the country, I learned from leaders in the animal care, animal research, and animal husbandry fields. I assisted in caring for 40+ marine animals through daily diet preparations, monitoring public interaction programs, and volunteering for overnight monitoring of rescued animals. I had the opportunity of a lifetime assisting the research team in a first of its kind dolphin parenting study, where two mothers, who were also sisters, traded calves, raising each other's baby.
  • Institute For Marine Mammal Studies Inc
    Marine Mammal Training Intern
Institute For Marine Mammal Studies Inc Jul 2014 - Dec 2014
    Gulfport, Mississippi, United States
Learning the ropes of a fast-paced animal care facility, I aided staff in cleaning, diet preparation, and training sessions with 4 birds, 4 sea lions, and 4 dolphins. One of my intern projects consisted of designing and building an enrichment device for the dolphins to prevent boredom and improve their overall health. I designed a kelp reef-like toy that sat at the bottom of the poop and was a popular toy among our younger, energetic dolphins. I had the unforgettable opportunity to attach a satellite tag to a rescued Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle, and aid in his release back into the Gulf of Mexico. The information provided from this satellite tag enables researchers to gather data pertaining to the life cycle of the sea turtle, and their travel patterns. I also spent time assisting the research team with dorsal fin ID, which gathered data on the dolphin population and environmental effects in the Mississippi Sound.
  • The Hills Shire Council
    Student Intern
The Hills Shire Council Oct 2013 - Nov 2013
    Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
During my semester in Australia, I enrolled in a course called Greensteps that paired students with local businesses looking to improve their environmental initiatives in the workplace. I was paired with the Hills Shire Council in New South Wales, focusing on the water quality of local, rural and urban creeks. I assisted the team in water quality collections and analyzed water quality data from 2006-2013. I created a report, analyzing the years of data, creating a baseline for future water quality samplings, and identifying trends.
  • University Of Arizona Psychology Department
Student Intern - Psychology Mentor Program
University Of Arizona Psychology Department Jan 2012 - May 2013
    Tucson, Arizona, United States
The Psychology department at UofA had a Mentor Program that paired students with school aged kids with behavioral or emotional concerns. As a mentor, I acted as a stable and dependable role model and advocate, assisting with homework and school projects as needed and positively reinforcing good school reports. I taught my mentee money management through planning and saving our weekly allowance for more expensive activities that we participated in to celebrate milestones. I attended a weekly meeting with fellow mentors and our program director to discuss our progress and complete paperwork.
