Dan Net financial performance was significantly behind the original business plan during the first 3 years. When I was promoted to become President & CEO I took responsibility for a complete turn around based on heavy cost cutting, new business areas and a series of acquisitions & divestments. We managed to create a clear market leader in 2 segments: EDI and VANS with ~70% market share in Denmark and Data Clearing for GSM-operators with a ~40% market share globally based on customers in more than 120 countries. TDC acquired IBM's shareholding in Dan Net in 2000 and Dan Net became the a fully owned subsidiary of TDC. Dan Net was an IPO-candidate in 2001 with an estimated market cap in the range of DKK 2.5-3 billion. Dan Net was acquired by MACH S.a.r.l. in 2004.
