I have prior experience in quantity surveying, having to liaise with main contractors and subcontractors. Experienced in handling progress claims as well as site verification. Subsequently, I was given the opportunity to work as a Property Manager having to manage 2 property officers, later increased to 3. Was exposed to a varied work scope such as estate management, relationship management with residents, subcontractors, grassroots leaders and various government agencies such as HDB, LTA, PUB, PA, NEA on various issues concerning the estate I was in charge of. I had to prepare the annual budget for my estate expenses taking into account the coming year projects and requirements. I worked closely with the Advisor and grassroots leaders on the various community projects which were raised by the residents. I was put in charge of one of the first Barrier Free Accessibility project in my Town Council, having to plan and execute the BFA route in my estate. Dr. Amy Khor officiated the launch of this BFA route with media coverage.Another project I had to oversee was the investigation of the potential cost savings of using T5 lightings at HDB common spaces. The results was reported in Council meeting and approval was obtained to expand the T5 usage to all the estates under the Town Council's jurisdiction.Arrears management was also part of my KPI. We had to visit the residents on such matters. Often I had to advise residents to seek assistance from the various social assistance programs that were available.Having to manage 3 officers, I had to conduct annual appraisals as well as interviewing new officers. One of the low point of this was that I had to conduct repeated interviews and co-write detailed reports in order to off board a staff. Was in the Tender & Contractors committee and subsequently in the Community Projects committee. This entailed preparation and presentation of reports during Council meetings.
