Founded in 2001, Oceana is the world’s largest non-profit organization focused solely on restoring the resilience and abundance of the ocean. We achieve measurable change by conducting science-based campaigns with clear goals that we seek to win within three to five years. Our campaign teams are based in Belize, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, the United States, Canada, the UK, and the European Union. In the EU sustainable fisheries campaign, my job is to "weaponise my amazing policy expertise for the fish":-provide strategic advice, planning and deliver results-manage goal-oriented projects with 1-3 year timeline-advocate for marine environment in EU institutions: European Commission, Parliament, Council and Member States-represent the organisation in North Sea Advisory Council, Market Advisory Council, EU-UK Domestic Advisory Group, and other stakeholder fora and external events-follow the EU-UK post-Brexit Trade and Cooperation Agreement-support communication -coordinate NGO networks and build coalitions -monitor Common Fisheries Policy implementation in the Mediterranean, Atlantic, and Baltic regions-focus on climate action in fisheries within the European Green Deal-drafted and coordinated a report "Common Fisheries Policy: Mission not yet accomplished" and a briefing "Fisheries and the Climate Crisis"https://europe.oceana.org/our-campaigns/defending-the-eus-common-fisheries-policy/
