After having studied languages and then worked as a teacher of Swedish for seven years, both in Sweden and abroad, I changed my career in 1987 and became a customs official.It has been my privilege to work with the Swedish Customs Agency in many different positions and capabilities, both as manager and officer.After twelve years in Swedish Customs Risk Analysis process I took up a position as information officer in 2011 within our customer service CallCustoms. I also had a few international assignments for WCO (World Customs Organization). In January 2015 I was posted as Technical Attaché to the Capacity Building Directorate of the WCO Secretariat in Brussels for a period of three years, where my tasks, among others, involved capacity building missions to many member countries primarily in the areas of organizational risk management, strategic planning and customer information. From January 2018 I took up a position in Swedish Customs as Senior Adviser at the Department for European Union and International Affairs. After Jan 1st 2021 I continue as Senior Adviser with the same responsibilities but now in the Intelligence Department.My retirement from Customs took place on June 30th 2021.
