I possess a combination of wide-ranging technical skills with a product-focused mindset, and have been writing software for almost 20 years for personal/professional use.During that time I have built things for all major platforms (Mac, Windows, iOS/Android, Web).Professionally I am more or less platform agnostic, but personally I will always be the kid from the woods of Northern California who was introduced to programming via LOGO on the Apple IIe, followed by Hypercard on the Mac Plus. That is to say, my platforms of choice are Mac and iOS.Most recently at GTL (now ViaPath), I built an education platform for their array of white-label Android tablets. We replaced a hodge-podge of other edu-apps with one solid platform, built especially for the of a unique customer-base (inmates, and those managing the backend we built). At Sauce Labs, my mobile experience landed me on the "EmuSim" team at Sauce Labs, handling both iOS and Android. Before that, I built SMART Alec (https://smartalec.biz) for Other World Computing, which is a disk monitoring tool best described as the check-engine light for your disks. Before that, at BitTorrent I was the sole Apple developer of BitTorrent Now on iOS/tvOS and Bleep before that, using Objective-C, Swift and Cocoa.I am happiest in an environment where I get to do many different things, and get to have a large impact on the development of a product from conception to distribution. My technical talents are paired with exceptional communication abilities, which is why I have been such an asset to the product teams I have been a part of. I am that rare combination of technical ability and conversationalist able to describe complicated technology to the layman. Because of my communication skills, I have often been asked to act as liason between engineering and product or marketing, or as a technical representative to help PR or sales efforts.
