Working in the IT department of a rapdily growing like First Script provided an opprtunity for me to develop many of the skills I posses today. While at Sunquest/Misys, I was provided with an excellent opportunity to learn about the installation and interfacing of lab systems into a hospital environment. Programming in MUMPS, I built interfaces that allowed the hospital system to connect to the lab system via HL7 communication protocol.My work at Sunquest/Misys has allowed me to learn the basics of software deveopment including: coding, code management, unit testing, defect management and code deployment.
