To date, there are more than 175,000 Wildlife Acoustics recorders deployed around the world.In 1991, Agranat was the founder and CEO of Agranat Systems, Inc., an embedded software technology company. In 2000, he sold the company to Virata Corporation in a $33M transaction and remained with the company as a Vice President and General Manager through a subsequent merger forming Globespan Virata.Ian Agranat is an angel investor, limited partner in Backstage Capital, Bright Ventures, Visible Hands, and was a member of Hub Angels. He is committed to mentoring and supporting diverse entrepreneurs.Ian presently serves on the advisory board of REACH, a non-profit providing safe housing, shelter and vital services to women, men children and families who have experienced domestic violence.
