The tasks tackled by the Data Science team are quite varied. A few of the topics I've been involved in includes:* Provided insights into topics such as: - Analysis of customer journey leading to the sale. Performed in-depth analysis and forecasting of revenue effects of applying newly-created commission models. The results of the analysis was presented by me to a major client comprising a large portion of Zanox's business. - Analysis for tracking users across different devices, i.e., cross-device tracking. Performed detailed analysis and problem identification, and also built a working prototype of a cross-device tracking solution.* Created a critical streaming data-channel to a subsidiary company. Delivered an initial event-driven prototype and later the production version as well.* Arranged company-wide workshops on KPI-selection and exploring a data-driven mindset. I facilitated measurement, tracking and continuous evaluation of relevant data and KPIs through ongoing consulting and acting as a trusted partner for the Product organization in order to encourage a more data-driven thinking within the company.* Gave tech talks on Haskell and Functional Programming topics. Delivered one introductory tutorial on functional programming followed by a more in-depth tutorial on functional reactive programming. The latter was also presented to the Berlin Haskell Meetup-group.

I was fortunate to be in a position of vast creative freedom where I was able to deliver a high-quality product. Operating as principal architect and developer, I built a horizontally scaling, self-learning, high-performing stream-based ad-bidding algorithm built in Haskell, driving highly profitable ad-delivery on mobile platforms. The system leverages technologies such as: ZeroMQ, Druid, Zookeeper MySQL, Protocol Buffers and Redis.Key responsibilities and research components:* As the principal architect and engineer I built the system from scratch and integrated it into the existing tech-stack,* Performed research and implementation of prediction algorithms in order to optimize ad-delivery and to drive performance and revenue through optimal spending,* Designed and tuned an automated budget allocation system using advanced methods of control systems theory.* Performed research and built prototypes for optimizing conversion rates and increasing mobile app interactions.* Designed and implemented bidding strategies for real-time-bidding (RTB) systems, maximizing the return-on-investment on a per impression basis ensuring cost-optimal/revenue-optimal ad delivery.

To this group I provided guidance, leadership and education through the year of activity. Ultimately I delivered a stellar result that hasn't been matched in the previous decades, and a fantastic team that worked extremely well together.

My work at CTK was primarily focused on algorithm design and data analysis. I developed algorithms for computing the optimal number of attachments needed for roof construction, generating a dynamic heat-map of attachment-density across the roof given parameters such as average wind speed and elevation.
