Being a part of the Headstart program with HCL, I had an opportunity to work closely with the HRSC (Human Resource Service Centre) team which has recently evolved into a multidimensional taskforce, along with the Service Excellence and Technology team which is in the process optimization role. My summer internship can be summed up as an enriching exposure to HR operations and optimization of the processes, adding a fresh prespective to the same from a business standpoint.

Working as a Plant Design and Piping Layout Engineer, I was handling the piping part during the detail engineering of the project. Some of the activities were to conduct the internal design review, review the P&ID and other documents, prepare material requisition requests and release orders, prepare and check isometrics. I was selected for the Furnace Task Force and was working for LEI in direct co-ordination with Selas-Linde.
