Developed a Facebook advertising platform for small businesses. Python/Django and React, with multiple partner OAuth/API integrations.

Freelance developed front- and back-end web services in Python and Django, especially for PagePart, a mobile website editor.

Led development of an HTTP/REST service to streamline printer application life cycle using Python/Django. For the customer-facing ePrintCenter application, developed localized caching using Akamai, and contributed back-to-front exception handling to translate back-end errors to appropriate end-user messaging.

Led development of a pilot remote access solution using an externally facing HTTP proxy authenticated with PKCS#11 smart card certs. Worked with HP IT to form a long-term plan to deploy OpenVPN for HP's non-Windows teleworkers.

Led a successful cross-company effort (HP, Intel, Fujitsu, Red Hat) porting Xen/IA64 into RHEL 5, including Linux kernel patches and bootloader changes to use the hypervisor. Delivered a reference architecture based on the DL785 (48 cores, 256 GB RAM) running RHEL 5.4 with KVM; this white paper was published by both Red Hat and HP to meet a tight market-driven schedule.

Wrote the test harness and tools which were used for successful CAPP and LSPP certifications.

Wrote the build system used by toolchain.org for continuous builds of GCC, GDB and related utilities on multiple architectures.

Wrote the Tigon3 Gigabit driver for Tru64 UNIX, 13k lines of threaded C with a custom high-performance interrupt mitigation algorithm. Designed and implemented 64-bit network counters with backward-compatible ioctls. Debugged critical network driver issues for Ericsson and Motorola telco releases.

Led the Alpha and IA64 ports, maintained major packages (Mozilla, Firefox, Vim, Perl, Baselayout, etc), served as a trustee in the Gentoo Foundation and as a member of the Gentoo Council.

Developed a unified printing system based on LPRng with the ability to print to anyprinter in the company, including the stores, from anywhere on the network. Played a key role in helping BCF to migrate from SunOS to Linux in the stores by prototyping the store back end server using Red Hat Linux on SPARC.

Wrote COBOL programs for clients.
