Upon completing my studies at the University of La Verne, I received my Master's Degree in Education with a special emphasis in the implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support at the secondary level. I am confident in my knowledge of, and ability to use, alternatives to punitive student discipline practices that foster positive culture within a restorative framework. I am currently an eleventh grade English Language Arts teacher and PBIS internal Coach at Eisenhower High School in Rialto, CA. As a teacher I excel in cultivating and maintaining positive and productive relationships with students that allow their academic success to blossom. As the PBIS Internal Coach I collaborate with administrators and other staff to foster a positive climate and culture for all students on campus by leading professional development, analyzing suspension rates and office discipline referrals to make informed decisions, and align resources and monitoring of alternative discipline practices. I posses a Single Subject English Credential and am eligible to participate in a California Administrative Services Credential. I have certifications in Restorative Practices, PBIS, Responsibly Centered Discipline, and Expository Reading and Writing Course Curriculum.My mission as an educator is to collaborate with individuals in the educational system to create positive relationships and a thriving climate and culture that supports all students.
