Software Engineer I
Current- Building user interface in React.js to showcase fitness content with accessibility, and user experience as the main focal point.- Planning, designing, and adding HTTP API endpoints to the existing .NET microservices which involves designing/creating database tables in SQL server, and using ORM technologies like EF Core- Standing up new .NET APIs and React SPAs from scratch setting up several core libraries, creating build and release pipelines in Azure DevOps for CI/CD.- Secured web apps by moving application secrets to Azure Cloud key vault services and other configs to centralized cloud config store.- Migrated .NET Framework applications to .NET Core/.NET 8- Converted continuously running RabbitMQ consumer system from a legacy .NET WCF service to a trigger-based on-demand auto-scale serverless cloud system to save on computing resources- Enhanced web page performance by utilizing caching, pagination technique, lazy loading, and loading web assets on-demand or pre-loading as applicable on the client side- Improved response time of API endpoints by utilizing in-memory or distributed caching system like Redis as suitable, and optimizing SQL queries/Stored PROCs, using Indexing etc. to reduce the SQL response time.- Monitoring team's microservices using Application Insights and Dynatrace- Developed PUB-SUB event based software system using RabbitMQ- Wrote console app to migrate content (text, images, videos, PDF etc.) from a legacy CMS system to a newer one- Setting up alerts on Application Insights when there are certain number of specific failures under a certain period of time to report back to the slack channel- Experience working with scheduled jobs using Hangfire .NET technology- Experience building GraphQL .Net APIs using Hot Chocolate library.- Overall, my job at ASH is full-stack software development role mainly working with React.js, .Net Core, .Net 8 and other .Net technologies (C#), Javascript, SQL Server, Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps.
