This role required a balance of analytical and interpersonal skills within the telecom team at Cisco. I prepared allocations and accrual journals, negotiated budget transfers, and monitored the forecast.The main project I carried out was the migration from an obsolete invoice processing system to an upgraded new platform. This allowed invoices to be paid and allocated automatically with minimal human intervention. I had to quickly learn about telecom services (Voice, MPLS, Cloud, etc) and how taxation works among different countries. This transition was successfully implemented in 34 countries within Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Throughout 2020, I created a business case to implement a similar business transformation in Latin America (LATAM) region. I outlined the problems, opportunities and solutions to increase productivity and reduce costs. This transformation was successfully implemented and resulted in cost reduction and improvement in the relationships of Cisco and its partners in the region.

I worked within the accounts receivable and cashiering teams, reconciling payments and investigating discrepancies.I liaised with a large portfolio of clients, including travel agents, large tour operators and companies. Also, I maintained strong business relationships, to ensure payment deadlines were met. I managed to reduce time required for the cashiering role by 25% by identifying the most common errors in the process, extracting and analysing data from the multiple systems and training staff on more efficient procedures
