My name is Agueda Munoz del Carpio Toia. I am a Peruvian physician, investigator in Public Health and Bioethics for over 10 years. Nowadays, I perform scientific research related to bioethics, public and occupational health.I am Chair of The international Scientific Committee Work and Vision of ICOH (International Commission of Occupational Health) Trinenium 2015 - 2018I am a former fellow at Fogarty FLACSO Argentina (Fogarty training program in research ethics in the Americas). I was also a fellow of NIH WIRB- WHO at Washington University (training for the protection of study subjects). Currently, I am a board member of WIRB Copernicus. I am Chair of the Research Ethics Committee of the Catholic University of Santa Maria at Arequipa, Peru. I also work as a professor of bioethics, research and public health in the faculty of human medicine. I teach courses focused on incorporating ethics in research involving human subjects and I am interested in investigating the social value of research.I have published diverse articles on research ethics in indigenous communities, bioethics and public health, ethics committees, regulation of clinical trials, bioethics and gender, family violence, informed consent, etc. I have participated in several international conferences on bioethics.
