Analysing the market and the development of regulatory environments within the framework of renewable energy and/or industrial offering aiming at achieving global and national goals « Net Zero ».Provide assistance in the definition and deployment of the Group strategy “New Energy”(NE) through a detailed analysis of supply, demand and political and private investment environments inareas relating to Strategic Pillars of the Group - namely renewable energies (offshore floating wind turbines,floating tidal power), transport and storage of CO2, as well as green hydrogen.

The Master of Energy Economics (MEECON) is a 12-month, full-time professional master’s program designed to educate future leaders and strategic thinkers in the energy sector. Students develop skills to provide insightful analysis of energy markets in order to inform future market orientation, capital asset decisions and firm strategic direction. Built upon programs in the Economics Department and the Baker Institute’s Center for Energy Studies (CES), the Master of Energy Economics provides a new avenue for energy professionals to develop human capital relevant for business development and/or strategic planning roles.My main motivation to take the Master of Energy Economics is my interest in the energy business, which is a central subject for the sustainable development of countries and companies. As a Mechanical Industrial Engineer and Master in Energy Engineering I have a solid technical foundation of various power generation technologies, especially renewables. This knowledge base has been very useful for my work in the industry, although I have noticed that I am keen to learn about the also fundamental economic, financial, environmental and social aspects. With the completion of Rice’s Master of Energy Economics, I will acquire knowledge in these areas, which are complementary of those that I already have from a technical point of view and allow me to have a more comprehensive and integrated vision of the subject.

Participation in the development of Renewable Energy Projects (solar and wind) in Latin America. Collaboration with the following tasks: Evaluation of wind and solar resources, simulation of power generation in sites with PVSyst software; study of industry consumption data; determination of optimal powers to install; presentation to tenders for Renewable Energies.In turn, I collaborated with the Departments of Renewable Resources and Operation and Maintenance, with the following tasks: analysis of SCADA data from wind turbines; verification of measurements of meteorological towers; calculation of availability and performance of photovoltaic solar plants--------------------------------------------------------------------------Participación en el desarrollo de Proyectos de Energías Renovables (solar y eólico) en Latinoamérica. I have developed and participated in several research projects, in the areas of wind energy, wind engineering and computational fluid mechanics.Through the execution and processing of numerical simulations, I have investigated characteristics of the operation of wind farms, evaluating among other things: the wakes of the wind turbines and their effect on the global power production, subject to different configurations and atmospheric conditions (speed and direction of wind); the operation of a wind farm subject to a power restriction, identifying and implementing different strategies followed by wind turbines to reach the target power, and quantifying the amount of energy that is no longer generated.I have also carried out SCADA data processing and analysis of wind farms, and of meteorological variables recorded by stations distributed in the country, collaborating with advances in the characterization of the country's extreme wind climate.---------------------------He elaborado y participado en varios proyectos de investigación, en las áreas de la energía eólica, ingeniería del viento y la mecánica de fluidos computacional. Mediante la ejecución y procesamiento de simulaciones numéricas he investigado características de la operación de parques eólicos, evaluando entre otras cosas: las estelas de los aerogeneradores y su efecto en la producción global de potencia, sujeto a distintas configuraciones y condiciones atmosféricas (velocidad y dirección de viento); la operación de un parque eólico sujeto a una restricción de potencia, identificando e implementando distintas estrategias seguidas por los aerogeradores para alcanzar la potencia objetivo, y cuantificando la cantidad la energía que se deja de generar. También he realizado procesamiento y análisis de datos de SCADA de parques eólicos, y de variables meteorológicas registradas por estaciones distribuidas en el país, colaborando con avances en la caracterización del clima de vientos extremos del país.
