About Sebastian Aguiar-Castrillon

I am an enthusiastic researcher with a strong focus on materials science and applied and experimental physics. My current research explores various methods of producing green hydrogen as a clean energy source. This includes studying the photocatalysis of titanium dioxide for CO2 and NOx decomposition, plasma-assisted gasification, and currently artificial photosynthesis for hydrogen production through water oxidation.I lead the undergraduate research group in materials science at EAFIT University, supervising the "Disposal of hospital waste in Medellin via plasma-assisted gasification" project and spearheading "Artificial photosynthesis through photoelectrocatalysis of Ti-based and Mn-based materials" research.
