Position at the Micro- and Nano-electronics and Device Physics Laboratory.CMOS ASIC design:● CMOS integrated circuit design: Analog and mixed-signal (AMS) design in sub-micron processes including 500, 180, and 130 nm CMOS process using the EDA tools from Synopsys and Mentor Graphics).● Tcl / BASH / MATLAB / Python scripting for simulation automation. Use of version control software: Git / SVN / Mercurial.● SPICE simulation of Mixed-Signal / Digital VLSI circuits to account for degradation models (TDDB, NBTI, PBTI, HCI) at device level: Verilog + SPICE (Fast-SPICE) integration.Neural Networks● Realistic Simulation of neuromorphic circuits based in the RRAM+CMOS integration, intended for pattern recognition tasks: Development of a design/simulation workflow combining MATLAB-SPICE (HSPCE / FineSim) and Python (TensorFlow)● Usage of neural networks for pattern recognition tasks, data fitting/prediction, clustering analysis, and dimensionality reduction (MATLAB / Python / TensorFlow).Semiconductor reliability:● Study of semiconductor reliability (MOS/MIM devices fabricated with disruptive technologies): breakdown statistic and parametric degradation.● Electrical Characterization (C-V, I-V, V-I, I-t, etc) of MOS/MIM devices, including conventional substrates (Silicon) and high-mobility substrates (III-V / Ge) and different dielectrics (SiO2/high-K).● Experiments of localized irradiation with heavy-ions on analog ASICS (ASET study) and on MIM test structures (to study the breakdown statistics)● Automation (MATLAB + LabVIEW) of measurement setups involving laboratory equipment (Oscilloscope, SMU, impedance analyzer, pulse generator, lock-in amplifier, etc.).● Signal acquisition and processing using MATLAB.Other:● International Collaborations (Singapore, Israel, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Uruguay)● Installation and maintenance of the EDA tools and PDKs for IC design (Mentor Graphics / Synopsys Tools), and similar.● Publication of results/findings
